Getting ready for summer!

Dee LeClaire puts a fresh coat of red paint on Stevenson's Farm Stand in Winthrop recently.  Dee, who has already been golfing this year, took advantage of the summer like conditions in March to prep the farm stand he managers on Route 202 for the busy summertime season.

Bluebirds

One small step for Hadley...

Hadley Stevenson triumphantly steps over an obstacle at the Stevenson Farm.  With careful precision and some guidance and encouragement, Hadley managed to make her way to the Sap house to join her dad in making maple syrup.

Sap Hpuse




The Sap house. Here is where all the wonderful Sugar tree maple sap is cooked down to make maple syrup. It takes about 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup.  The mild winter temps in March create the suitable conditions for the sap to run and the opportunist to collect. Bottom line, there are too many rules to sappin' to even get into.
